Men's and Women's Basketball Victorious on the Road

The men's and women's basketball teams were both victorious on the road this weekend against Broome CC.  The Lady Raiders won 71-45 and the Men's team came out on top 90-82.

The women's team got off to a slow start and trailed 34-29 at the half.  Diasia BeBoue and Julie Hampton sparked the Raiders in a big second half to seal the 71-45 victory.  DeBoue led with 26 points and Hampton followed with 19, including five three pointers.

In the men's game the Broome Hornets jumped out to a 20-8 lead in the first five minutes of the contest.  The Raiders answered with a run of their own and led by seven points.  FM hit a buzzer beater at the half to go up 46-45 at halftime.  The Raiders jumped out to an 18 point lead in the second half and never trailed and sealed their fourth straight victory; 90-82.

Amadou Diakite led FM with 22 points and Dante Morgan finished with 21.  Courtney Darnley was also in double figures with 11 points respectfully.

Both teams look to keep their winning streaks alive on Wednesday, December 6th at home against North Country CC.  The women are set to tip off at 5:00 p.m. and the men will play at 7:00 p.m.
