The Fulton-Montgomery Community College men's basketball team showed grit and improvement throughout a challenging weekend slate, but the Raiders ultimately came up short in a pair of competitive matchups, falling 69–55 on Saturday against Genesee before dropping a narrow 70–65 decision to Corning on Sunday.

FMCC opened the weekend with a balanced offensive performance, connecting on 10 three-pointers and shooting 40% from beyond the arc, but turnovers and second-chance points proved costly in the 69–55 setback.

Craig Guest Jr. led the way with 19 points, knocking down three triples while adding three rebounds and two assists. Jordon Knight delivered 14 points, including a pair of threes and 4-of-6 from the line. Brady Smith continued his efficient play, scoring 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting.

Jeravontae Russell was a force on the glass, posting a dominant 17-rebound performance—13 of them defensive—while also adding 7 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals in an all-around effort.

Matthew Carter provided a spark off the bench with 8 points, and Léopold Fonjallaz added 5 points and 3 assists.

FMCC showed resilience less than 24 hours later, nearly erasing a seven-point halftime deficit before falling late in a 70–65 thriller against Corning Community College.

Brady Smith paced the Raiders with a standout performance, scoring a team-high 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting while tacking on 5 rebounds. Guest Jr. added 12 points, and Knight chipped in 10 with two makes from deep.

Andre Jackson provided a critical lift off the bench with 9 points, including a 5-for-6 performance at the free-throw line. Carter again played valuable minutes, contributing 6 points and 7 rebounds, and Fonjallaz added 5 points and active play on the glass.

The Raiders will host Mohawk Valley Community College on Wednesday, November 19th. They will tip-off with the Hawks at 7pm.
