The Fulton-Montgomery men's basketball team put up a strong fight on Wednesday night, but a steady offensive performance from Mohawk Valley Community College proved too much as the Raiders dropped an 89–73 decision at home.
FMCC kept the game tight through much of the first half, trailing just 40–34 at the break. But Mohawk Valley maintained its momentum in the second half, slowly extending the margin while capitalizing on second-chance opportunities and timely scoring.
Craig Guest Jr. delivered one of his best outings of the season, finishing with a game-high 29 points on an efficient 10-of-17 shooting night. He knocked down four three-pointers, added five assists, and grabbed four rebounds while consistently keeping the Raiders within striking distance.
Andre Jackson also gave FMCC a strong boost offensively, scoring 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting while contributing two assists and two steals. Jordon Knight posted 11 points and 5 rebounds while going 5-of-6 from the free-throw line.
The Raiders will look to regroup and bounce back after the holiday break. They prepare for their next matchup at Onondaga Community College on Thursday, December 4th at 7:30 p.m.
