The Fulton-Montgomery Community College men's basketball team delivered a dominant second-half performance to earn an 84–52 road victory over Hudson Valley Community College on Wednesday night.
The Raiders led by just five at halftime, 34–29, before turning up the defensive pressure and finding their rhythm offensively after the break. FMCC outscored Hudson Valley 50–23 in the second half, holding the Vikings to just 27 percent shooting for the game.
Craig Guest, Jr. led all scorers with a game-high 30 points, knocking down 11 field goals and going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Andre Jackson added an efficient 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting, along with four assists, while Jordon Knight finished with 11 points.
Fulton-Montgomery controlled the glass throughout the night, outrebounding Hudson Valley 56–33. Mckenzey Johnson anchored the interior with 11 rebounds, four blocks, and four assists, while Jeravontae Russell chipped in nine boards and seven points.
The Raiders' depth made an impact as well, highlighted by Matthew Carter, who knocked down three three-pointers off the bench to finish with nine points. Javon Smith contributed six points and nine rebounds in 21 minutes.
With the win, Fulton-Montgomery improves to 7–8 overall and 2–2 in conference play. The Raiders will host North Country Community College on Saturday, January 24th.
