The Fulton-Montgomery Community College men's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Herkimer College on Wednesday evening, improving their record to 7-2-1 on the season.
The Raiders' attack found the breakthrough late in the match when Adam Rose found the back of the net off an assist from Juri Barnstorf-Brandes, giving FMCC all they needed to secure the win.
Defensively, Fulton-Montgomery stood tall throughout the match, with goalkeeper Mathis Briffaud recording two saves to preserve his second clean sheet of the season.
Several Raiders made their presence felt across the pitch, with Daunte Khiyaza, Bradley Warren, and Lennart Kübler each testing Herkimer's defense. Augusto Silva and Andrey Rincón were remarkable in the back line holding off any Herkimer attack.
The Raiders will take on Broome on Saturday, October 18th in their final regular season game of the season.
