The 2026 season for FMCC baseball team ended on Tuesday afternoon in the final game of the season against Hudson Valley Community College.

While the final record did not fall in the Raiders' favor, the team showed consistent effort and flashes of strong play throughout the 27-game campaign.

Offensively, the Raiders finished the season with a .284 team batting average and produced 107 runs on 189 hits. The lineup showed balance and the ability to generate traffic on the bases, posting an impressive .390 on-base percentage.

Leading the charge at the plate was sophomore Po Ting Lin, who put together an outstanding season, hitting .447 with 34 hits, 10 extra-base hits, and a .618 slugging percentage. Fellow sophomore Cheng En Cai also delivered a strong all-around performance, batting .392 with 31 hits and 18 RBIs, while contributing both defensively and on the mound.

The Raiders received additional production from across the lineup, including freshman Wataru Yamasaki, who hit .391 and Christian LaFleche, who added a .344 average with 14 RBIs.

On the mound, the Raiders faced a challenging slate of opponents, gaining valuable experience against high-level competition. Several pitchers stepped into significant roles, with Cai leading the staff in strikeouts (37) and innings pitched (33.2).
