The Fulton-Montgomery Lady Raiders closed out one of the most memorable seasons in program history on March 14, finishing fourth in the nation after falling to Northland Community & Technical College Pioneers, 86–60, in the consolation game at the NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship in Brownwood, Texas.
Despite the final result, the Lady Raiders' run to the national semifinals and top-four finish capped a remarkable 24–5 season that included a NJCAA Region III Women's Basketball Championship title and one of the deepest tournament runs in program history.
The Lady Raiders started strong in the final game, edging Northland 14–13 at the end of the first quarter. The Pioneers responded in the second period, using a 28–17 quarter to take control of the game heading into halftime. Northland continued to build momentum in the second half, outscoring the Lady Raiders 45–29 over the final two quarters to secure the win.
Sophomore guard Hailey Monroe led Fulton-Montgomery offensively, finishing with a game-high 25 points while knocking down five three-pointers. Monroe went 10-for-20 from the field and accounted for nearly half of the Lady Raiders' scoring effort. She was named to the NJCAA 2026 All-Tournament team.
Kieonna Christmas added 10 points, five rebounds, four steals, and three blocks, contributing on both ends of the floor. Cloey Dopp chipped in eight points and three rebounds while battling heavy defensive pressure throughout the game.
Off the bench, Mattingly Hindes provided a spark with eight points, including a pair of three-pointers, while Gabriella Rourke contributed six points and three rebounds.
With a fourth-place national finish and a trophy from Region III, the 2025–26 Lady Raiders leave behind a legacy season that will stand as one of the benchmark years for the program.
