The Fulton-Montgomery Community College women's volleyball team came out strong on the road on Saturday with a dominant 3-0 sweep over Mohawk Valley Community College.
The Lady Raiders controlled the match from start to finish, winning in straight sets with final scores of 25–19, 25–14, and 25–21. FMCC improved each set offensively, finishing with a team hitting percentage of .273, including a match-best .353 in the third set.
Stat Leaders:
- Annika Fedullo led the offense with 10 kills, hitting an impressive .421 while also contributing 4 service aces and 4 total blocks (2 solo, 2 assists), finishing with a team-high 17.0 points.
- Marisa Dygon and Sophia Dugan each recorded 9 kills.
- Olivia Linart added 7 kills, 10 digs, and 2 block assists.
- Briana Santiago directed the offense with 34 assists, adding 3 digs and 1 block assist.
- Samara Hunt led the back row with a match-high 15 digs.
The Lady Raiders were solid at the service line with 8 aces and defensively at the net, recording 8 total blocks.
With the win, FMCC improves to 5-4 overall on the season. The team will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup on Saturday, October 4th when they travel to SUNY Broome for POD play.
