Volleyball Completes Regular Season With Win Over Onondaga

The Fulton-Montgomery Community College volleyball team earned a hard-fought victory on Saturday, defeating Onondaga Community College in a five-set showdown (25-18, 25-14, 20-25, 15-25, 15-10). The Raiders came out strong to take the first two sets, weathered a comeback from the Lazers, and closed the match with a dominant fifth set to secure the 3–2 win.

Annika Fedullo led the way at the net with 13 points, including six kills and a team-high seven block assists. Olivia Linart and Sophia Dugan each added six kills, while Briana Santiago was outstanding setting up the offense with 23 assists.

Defensively, the Raiders were anchored by Ellana Dineen and Samara Hunt, who combined for 33 digs, helping FMCC control the backcourt and limit Onondaga's attack. Kaylee Colabello chipped in two service aces and strong back-row defense, while Kieonna Christmas contributed five kills and a pair of blocks.

In the second match of the day, the Lady Raiders put up a strong fight in a five-set battle against Corning, ultimately fall 3-2.

The Raiders came out strong, dominating the opening set 25–13 behind efficient attacking and solid team defense. Corning responded with a narrow 25–20 win in the second, but FMCC regrouped to take the third set 25–16 thanks to sharp setting and front-row execution. The Red Barons evened the match again with a 25–23 win in the fourth before sealing the victory in the decisive fifth, 15–8.

Offensively, Annika Fedullo led the charge for FMCC with a match-high 16 kills while hitting an impressive. Sophia Dugan added 11 kills, and Marisa Dygon contributed eight kills along with strong play at the net, tallying one solo and one block assist.

Briana Santiago anchored the offense with 30 assists and added 15 digs in a strong all-around performance. Olivia Linart was a force behind the service line, recording five aces and 15 digs, while Samara Hunt chipped in with three aces and 13 digs.

FM finishes the regular season with a 10-6 overall record and a 9-4 region 3 record heading into the post season. They will next host the Mountain Valley Conference Tournament on Saturday, October 25th at 11am in the Raiders Den.
